TEST MODE:

WIP:

- 0.149u1: Misc cleanup, no emulation changes. Added video enable bits and PCB info [hap]. Hooked up Seibu CRTC to clone Raiden (set 3) [Angelo Salese]. Changed description of clones (US, set 1) to 'Raiden (US set 1)', (US, set 2, SEI8904 + SEI9008 PCBs) to 'Raiden (US set 2)' and (set 3, Alternate hardware) to 'Raiden (set 3)'.

- 0.146u2: Mr. CAST, Smitdogg and The Dumping Union added Raiden (set 1). Redumped rom gets the new Raiden set working. Reordered the set with additional information. Changed 'Raiden' to clone 'Raiden (set 3, Alternate hardware)', '(alternate hardware)' to 'Raiden (set 2)', 'Raiden (US, set 2)' to 'Raiden (US, set 1)', '(US, set 1, SEI8904 + SEI9008 PCBs)' to '(US, set 2, SEI8904 + SEI9008 PCBs)'. Renamed (raiden) to (raidenb), (raidenu) to (raidenua) and (raidenua) to (raidenu).

- 23rd June 2012: Smitdogg - We got a new version of Raiden. Note: "Countless revisions" might be something that comes to mind when you think about Capcom fighters from the 1990s but not so much for something like the classic shooter Raiden. But that is the reality of the situation. I've lost more auctions for undumped Raiden revisions than I have won. The day I won this one I lost another one. I've just happened across them before while picking one up for a friend and in bulk deals. If you have one there is a good chance it's an undumped version. People don't expect them to be different so they don't check, and there was a pretty subtle way of labeling them. Here are a couple of examples of alt sets. In the first they sloppily stamped a J on one chip that most people might not even notice and then took a red pen and dotted a couple of them and on the second they stamped an A on 2 chips. Those stamped/marked are not the only chips that differ from other sets though, it's just that they are the only ones marked, so if you have a Raiden board you'll need to dump all of the socketed chips to check, not just the "obvious" ones.

- 0.143u5: Kold666 fixed some music channels go out of sync after a while in clone Raiden (alternate hardware). Changed description of clone 'Raiden (Alternate Hardware)' to 'Raiden (alternate hardware)'.

- 0.141u1: Alex Jackson fixed crashes if you use -debug switch in Raiden.

- 0.141: Smitdogg and The Dumping Union added clone Raiden (US, set 2). Changed description of clone 'Raiden (US, SEI8904 + SEI9008 PCBs)' to 'Raiden (US, set 1, SEI8904 + SEI9008 PCBs)'.

- 12th December 2010: Smitdogg - We've dumped Raiden (Fabtek, alt). Seems like an earlier version than the one we have already.

- 0.136u3: Tormod, Smitdogg, The Dumping Union, David Haywood added clone Raiden (US, SEI8904 + SEI9008 PCBs).

- 27th January 2010: Smitdogg - We got the Fabtek version of Raiden thanks to Tormod. Credits so far: Tormod, Smitdogg and The Dumping Union.

- 0.133u1: Corrado Tomaselli verified/changed VSync to 59.6 Hz in Raiden.

- 0.127u1: Added 'Coin A/B' dipswitches.

- 9th July 2008: Mr. Do - Instruction cards for Raiden and Raiden II, thanks to Tormod (side cards) and Gene at Vintage Arcade (bottom strip).

- 0.125u6: Couriersud fixed Flip_Screen dipswitch in clones raidena, raidenk and raident.

- 0.122u5: Corrado Tomaselli verified/corrected frequencies in Raiden. Changed OKI6295 clock speed to 1MHz.

- 0.118u3: Changed NEC V30 CPU core to use a 16-bit data bus [Aaron Giles, Phil Bennett, Pierpaolo Prazzoli].

- 0.118u2: Aaron Giles merged Raiden memory maps.

- 0.111u6: Changed OKI6295 clock speed to 1320000 Hz.

- 0.77u2: R. Belmont fixed the volume balance in Raiden by making the drums louder.

- 0.66: Changed clock speed of the 2x V30 to 10MHz.

- 0.62: Stephane Humbert added clone Raiden (Taiwan).

- 5th August 2002: Stephane Humbert added a Taiwanese version of Raiden to the Raiden driver.

- 0.37b16: Nicola Salmoria decrypted the Seibu sound CPU, giving sound in clone Raiden (Alternate Hardware).

- 17th June 2001: Nicola Salmoria decrypted the Seibu sound CPU, giving sound in Raiden (alt), Dynamite Duke and Toki (original).

- 0.37b15: Bryan McPhail fixed the NEC cpu bug that caused slowdowns in Raiden.

- 13th May 2001: Bryan McPhail finally fixed the V20 / V30 cycle count bug which affected the speed in Raiden, R-Type and more.

- 0.37b10: Changed the 2x V30 clock speed to 20MHz.

- 4th December 2000: Bryan McPhail re-submitted the latest version of the Raiden driver updated to the newest beta, but unfortunately it still doesn't cure the slowdowns.

- 17th September 2000: Bryan McPhail fixed some bugs in Raiden (for example the alternate set works now).

- 0.36b12: Added clones Raiden (Korea) and (Alternate Hardware). Bryan McPhail fixed hanging music in Raiden.

- 0.36b9: Changed V30 CPU1/2 clock speeds to 19MHz, Z80 CPU3 to 3579545 Hz and YM3812 to 3579545 Hz.

- 4th November 1999: Bryan McPhail fixed some graphics glitches in Raiden.

- 0.36b8: Changed V30 CPU1/2 clock speeds to 18MHz.

- 19th October 1999: Bryan McPhail fixed some problems in Raiden (except sound).

- 0.36b3: Changed YM-3812 clock speed to 3.6MHz.

- 21st July 1999: Tatsuyuki Satoh fixed some YM-3812 IRQ problems, for example with Raiden.

- 19th July 1999: Jim Hernandez fixed some sound issues in Raiden.

- 0.36b1: Added Raiden (Seibu Kaihatsu 1990) and clone (Alternate) (Testdriver) [Oliver Bergmann, Bryan McPhail, Randy Mongenel]. Raiden (Alternate) has a different memory map and different fix char layer memory layout. TODO: Add support for Coin Mode B.

- 16th July 1999: Bryan McPhail sent in the long-awaited Raiden driver.

- 6th May 1999: Bryan McPhail sent some pictures of a work-in-progress Raiden driver with also Oliver Bergmann and Randy Mongenel as its authors.
